From my humble little cat basket, I bring you the first of Professor Cathead's Basket Realizations.
The DNA implants I had as a kitty are kicking in with a vengence ( see my The Three Musketeers blog ) and I find myself possessed of strange abilities and visions.
No Cathead cranky adventure this, for I stayed snuggled in a wickered curl throughout. My human DNA-morphed cat consciousness can see into you humans' minds and also consciously witness your dreams.
One night last week I was squatting atop the duvet with my sleeping keeper beneath. I stared and stared down at him - mouth-agape snoring and slumbering like a baby who has just finished counting 1000 sheep - to such extent that had he awakened he would have startled and spooked at the good Cathead leering down at him eyes all awide like.
He remained asleep tho' and I could easily see the dream he was having. As it happened, it was an ordinary composite of nonsense dream, where the human mind pieces together fragments from memory and creates a fresh piece of junk in a dream that sometimes has the person running to a " What Your Dreams Mean" book. for an understanding. Cathead says, they have no meaning, they are a computer-random assortment of life memories, no more no less. A good scoff of mature cheddar before bedtime really gets these crazy nonsense dreams going (not recommended)
HOWEVER. Occasionally you humans have dreams where the people in them seem oddly familiar, yet when you awake and remember them, you don't recognize anyone from this life. This is an example of a dream featuring someone you knew in a previous life. And so I bring you the truth about ALIEN ABDUCTIONS.
Over 4 million Americans have reported being taken in their sleep by curious little fellows with big big wasp's eyes who talk in gibberish ( harder even to understand than Dutch ), strapped down and experimented upon within some higher-than-high-tech' spaceship. They even claim to have the marks on their bodies to prove the bondage upon awakening. John Mack, Harvard University professor, made his fortune by selling books on his truly cranky theory that these "abductions" could be real events happening in real time. The good Cathead will make not a penny in telling the world the truth.. . so it goes.
Cathead says that Alien Abductions are both real and not real in the sense that they are memories of real events, but not from this lifetime. They are real memories of past life events on other worlds within the universe. On other planets too far away to reach by spacecraft there exist an assortment of human-like creatures with a far older civilization than ours ( the aliens).
They are highly highly developed intellectually and scientifically and live close enough to other planets with human beings similar to ourselves to be able to reach them in spacecraft. From time to time, for their specific further technological advancement, the aliens need to abduct humans for genetic research experiments, similar to the abominble practise of animal experiments in your heartless human society.
As us animals appear dumb and innocent to you, so those humans on other planets also appear to the aliens.In fact they are referred to by the aliens as " the upright animal" species.
So it is that the aliens travel to nearby planets to abduct humans for their sinister ends.
Obviously this is a highly distressing event for the people involved and when they reincarnate on this planet, sometimes in their sleep they get flashbacks of "alien abductions". These vivid dreams are nothing but their own memories from a previous lifetime on another distant world. And the marks on their bodies upon awakening are pyschosomatic, a case of severe trauma in the mind manifesting on the body.
So these bug-eyed aliens are real, as are the abductions, but not from this earth nor of this time ( although the practise is still going on, on those distant planets ).
Everything else regarding reported UFO landings and abductions in the conscious awake state are hoaxes invented by publicity-seeking people including, ironically, the supposed moon landings by the Americans in the 1960s and 70s. The astronauts did not leave earth orbit throughout and the "moonwalks" were all shot in a studio on earth.

Now this could answer the question of what happened to Our 'erbert. He was a black and white like your good self and ppppilvethter, utterly fearless, posessed of supernastural powers of levitation (I once saw him leap up, snatch a Daddy Long Legs from mid air around the height of the picture rail, twist and somersault and he had swallowed the tasty snack before he hit the ground.
One day he vanished, obviously he had only been visiting from a different space - time continuum.
